Herman Hanko – Founder & CEO
TruBuilt Builders was founded by Herman Hanko in 2006. A craftsman at heart and grandson of a master carpenter at Howard Miller, Herman began his career in the trades as a framer. What started as a small framing company quickly evolved into a passion for building not just houses, but homes tailored to the lives within them.
Today, TruBuilt is known for its custom executive homes, thoughtful remodels, and unwavering commitment to quality at every step.
Outside the jobsite, Herman serves as a volunteer firefighter and sits on the advisory board for the Ottawa County Career Tech Center’s Building & Trades Department — a reflection of his deep roots in community and service. His hands-on approach and values-driven leadership continue to shape TruBuilt’s mission: building with purpose, integrity, and craftsmanship that lasts.
